| Breast Lift: More to Know |

Other than a nicer shape and appearance, a breast lift will not result in any big changes or permanent restrictions. But here are a few things to note.
- Plan on scheduling regular breast cancer screening and mammography testing. With breast lift surgery, you have no greater or lesser chance of getting breast cancer. Breast self-exam is unchanged.
- Breast-feeding. You should be able to breast-feed successfully after a breast lift since your milk ducts and nipples will remain intact. However, if you are planning to have more children, you may wish to wait to have the surgery until after childbearing. Pregnancy is likely to stretch the breasts again.
- A breast lift does not last forever. Gravity, time, and aging will eventually take their toll.
