Forehead Lift: Risks
The risks associated with a forehead lift are rare and usually minor. However, it is always wise to consider the possibility of complications before undergoing any type of surgical procedure. You can reduce your risk of complications by following your surgeon's instructions before and after surgery.

Potential Risks:
  • In rare cases, the nerves that control the movement of the eyebrows may be injured, resulting in an inability to raise the eyebrows or wrinkle the forehead. Additional surgery may be required to correct the problem.

  • A broad scar may form after the surgery. In this case, your surgeon may remove the broad scar to allow a new, thinner scar to form. Some people experience hair loss along the edges of a scar.

  • Loss of feeling commonly occurs along or just beyond the incision line. This is usually temporary, but may be permanent in some patients.

  • Bleeding and infection are rare possibilities.
